About Us
We are dedicated volunteers who came together as The Save Sandy Beach Group. We care passionately about protecting Sandy Beach, a cherished natural haven in Hudson, Quebec that has been under threat of development for decades.
Our group now operates under the aegis of the Sandy Beach Conservancy, a not-for-profit organization created in 2024 that now has charitable status.
We recognize that development is necessary and can bring many benefits. We also believe that it matters where and how development occurs. Sandy Beach is not the place!

Protect all of Sandy Beach: wetlands, woodlands, beach and river, in order to continue the vital role of this diverse eco-system, where people enjoy access to a natural haven that contributes to the well-being of our community.
Our Mission
Raise awareness of the importance and urgency of protecting Sandy Beach for generations to come. Minimize the impact on taxpayers by helping to secure the legal and financial pathways leading to long term stewardship of this precious natural space.
